”Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience. This is the ideal life.” -Mark Twain
Angela was born and raised on the Canadian prairies. She spent her summer days running down the coulis listening to the gentle rattle of the not so friendly snakes and her winters trekking through the snow to go tobogganing at the local park. As a child, she had grand aspirations of becoming the next Jane Goodall or Dian Fossey and amassed a huge collection of stuffed monkeys and gorillas until she realized that nature just wasn't her thing.
She decided kids were close enough to monkeys that teaching was the next best thing. After earning her B.Ed from the University of Alberta, she spent the next decade living and working in the US. She spent seven years in Texas, four in Colorado, and then two years in Washington state. The further north she moved, the more she realized how much she missed her home.
Angela recently returned to Canada where she completed her M.Sc in Education, and in continuing to follow her dreams. By day she is a teacher in a high-needs school and by night she is a USA Today bestselling author.
In her down time, Angela also enjoys designing book covers. You can view her portfolio by following the Covered Creatively link in the menu bar.
“Books are so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like a betrayal.” –John Green
